I didn't checked the new version yet but I would like to point some issues from Debian:

Hi @eribertomota,

v1.4.1 (and it's more appropriately named re-release) should address both of those points.

Debian downstream patches were merged in fa4199d and a -Werror=format-security fix is in 48a7ecd.

I haven't come across an issue with PIE. If it still FTBFS i'll look into it.
