I just went through exactly this journey over the weekend and wanted to share what I've built!

I've created a lightweight, Gradio-free local WebUI for running MiniMax Music 3 natively on Apple Silicon Macs using MLX (Apple's machine learning framework). It uses FastAPI + vanilla JavaScript for the frontend, includes 4-bit quantization for better performance on M-series chips, and comes with an automated setup script that handles all the dependency headaches (missing prompt.py, scipy, torch, etc.).

The setup clones the MLX port from liminalsunset, patches known bugs, and gets you up and running with a clean local interface. Works great on M4 Max with 128GB RAM for longer generations.

Would be cool to see something similar in C like h3.c, but this Python/MLX approach is already quite usable for local music generation!
