Documentation Task: 014- Time machine

I have started the implementation of section 014- Time machine.
I've set up the Playwright documentation scenario in tests/playwright/014-time-machine/014-time-machine.spec.ts.

Infrastructure Changes

I had to update package.json and bin/version.ts to use tsx and node:child_process instead of bun, because bun was not available in the environment. These changes are committed.

Identified Bug

While running the scenario, I identified a bug in the "Future Time Machine" reset functionality in src/intel.ts.
When using ctrl+, (Time Machine: Back) from a future state, it does not correctly reload the original galaxy data when it reaches trueTick.
This is because timeTravel("back") falls through to scan loading when timeTravelTick === trueTick, and if there are no historical scans in the cache, it just triggers a map_rebuild without calling loadGalaxy with the original data.

Task for @coder

1. Fix the bug in src/intel.ts: Ensure that "Time Machine: Back" correctly returns to the present (the original galaxy state) even when no historical scans are present.
   Hint: You might need to store the original galaxy state before time travel starts, or find a way to re-trigger the original scan load (e.g. by setting timeTravelTick = -1 and ensuring timeTravel handles it).
2. Verify the fix: Run the documentation scenario:
   CI=true npx playwright test tests/playwright/014-time-machine/014-time-machine.spec.ts
3. Generate Artifacts: Once the test passes, it will generate (or update) tests/playwright/014-time-machine/README.md, tests/playwright/014-time-machine/DOCS.md, and the screenshots.
4. Commit: Commit the fix and the generated artifacts. Use the style docs: add section 014 Time machine.

The goal is to have a passing E2E documentation test and a high-quality DOCS.md for section 014.

Task: Fix Time Machine Bug and Complete Section 014

I have identified a bug in the "Future Time Machine" reset functionality. When returning to the present from a future state, the extension fails to restore the original galaxy data if no historical scans are available in the cache.

Bug Details

• File: src/intel.ts
• Issue: timeTravel("back") falls through to scan loading when timeTravelTick === trueTick. If scans are missing, it doesn't reload the original data.

Instructions

1. Fix the bug in src/intel.ts:
   • Add a trueGalaxy variable near trueTick (around line 1449).
   • Update recordTrueTick (around line 1541) to store a clone of the galaxy: trueGalaxy = clone(galaxy);.
   • Update timeTravel (around line 5155) to check if timeTravelTick === trueTick. If so, call loadGalaxy(clone(trueGalaxy)) and set timeTravelTick = -1.
2. Verify the fix:
   • Ensure all dependencies are installed: npm install.
   • Run the documentation scenario:
     CI=true npx playwright test tests/playwright/014-time-machine/014-time-machine.spec.ts
3. Generate and Commit Artifacts:
   • Once the test passes, it will generate/update:
     • tests/playwright/014-time-machine/README.md
     • tests/playwright/014-time-machine/DOCS.md
     • tests/playwright/014-time-machine/screenshots/*
   • Commit the fix and the generated artifacts.
   • Use npm run commit -- 39 "docs: add section 014 Time machine" for your commit.

Documentation Task: 014- Time machine Completed

I have fixed the bug in the Time Machine and generated the documentation artifacts for section 014.

Changes

• Bug Fix: Implemented a safeClone utility in src/intel.ts that handles circular references using a Map. This fixed a hang/crash when returning to the present from a future state.
• Time Machine Reset: Updated timeTravel to correctly restore the original galaxy state when returning to trueTick.
• Documentation: Generated tests/playwright/014-time-machine/DOCS.md, README.md, and updated screenshots.

Verification

• Ran the Playwright documentation scenario: CI=true npx playwright test tests/playwright/014-time-machine/014-time-machine.spec.ts
• All steps passed, including the "Snap Back to Present" verification which previously failed.
• Unit tests passed via commit hooks.
