Consider an accompanying analyzer

It would be nice if this came with an analyzer that could flag use of its non-strict counter parts.

I'm using Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.BannedApiAnalyzers with the following configuration.
So perhaps a dedicated analyzer isn't required, just mention of this analyzer in the readme.
