beta 19 log files and converged_bt_probe run on iPad OS 16.3.1

I checked the generated files from the converged_bt_probe run.

The probe archive itself seems partially broken because gzip failed during packaging, but the standalone files were still created successfully.

Most important finding from BTstack.log:

IORegisterForSystemPower failed

This appears multiple times from btstack_control_iphone.m before Bluetooth takeover completes.

Unlike previous runs, this setup DID successfully generate:
/tmp/hci_dump.pklg

So I’m attaching:

BTstack.log
hci_dump.pklg

The converged probe also completed successfully and detected the newer Converged/Skywalk Bluetooth path on this hardware.

Additional info:

which gzip returns:
/var/jb/usr/bin/gzip

PATH includes:
/var/jb/usr/bin

But the script still fails during archive creation with:

tar (child): gzip: Cannot exec: No such file or directory

So the probe itself completes successfully and only the final tar.gz packaging step fails.

Looks like the probe itself actually completed successfully and the issue was only with the automatic tar.gz packaging step.

I missed the generated probe folder at first, but I manually compressed the showcase-converged-bt-probe folder and attached it here instead.

The archive helped, but the deep probe did not actually compile because clang is missing. Please install these packages from Sileo first and rerun converged bt probe:
clang ldid odcctools file coreutils grep findutils sed gzip tar
The files we need are the converged-iokit-*.txt files, and currently they only say "probe not built".
But I'm starting to see a pattern. On Pro class modern Apple devices, it seems like the bluetooth controller is completely different. This will be a long thread aimed at porting BTStack to this class of devices. Let me know

Looks like the environment/toolchain issues are fixed now and the probe script runs correctly, but the converged_iokit_probe itself fails to compile.

The main compile error is:

IOObjectCopyClass(obj, cls);
error: too many arguments to function call, expected single argument ‘object’, have 2 arguments

The generated converged-iokit files still contain:
“converged_iokit_probe not built”

So it looks like the issue is now in the probe source compatibility/API usage rather than my environment.
