Just as a microphone captures sound waves from the air and turns them into a digital audio file, the Qualia Recorder captures the electrical patterns (neural spikes) of an emotion in the brain and turns them into a digital Qualia Packet.
It doesn't just record everything; it's smart. It uses a "Denoiser" to make sure that if you're recording a feeling of "pure joy" but you happen to have an itchy nose at that exact moment, the "itch" is filtered out so only the joy remains.

Symphonia is currently a software application (a web app) that simulates the process of neural exchange.
