531 Strength is a single-user lifting journal. It runs entirely on your device. The privacy story is deliberately simple because the data flow is deliberately simple.
Nothing. No account. No sign-in. No analytics. No telemetry. No crash reporters. No marketing pixels. No ads.
The app records the data you choose to enter — your training maxes, your set logs, your PRs, your settings — and stores them in a local SQLite database on your device. That database does not leave the device unless you explicitly export it (a future feature).
Nothing. There is no server that we operate. No third party receives any of your training data through us.
Apple and Google handle app distribution. Their respective privacy policies cover how the App Store and Play Store collect download + diagnostic data outside this app:
When you install the app, the operating system may report standard device diagnostics to its platform vendor. We do not request, receive, or process any of that.
- Your data lives in app storage. Uninstalling the app removes the database. We cannot recover it for you.
- No account = no deletion request needed. There is no remote record of you to delete.
- No tracking opt-out is necessary. There is no tracking to opt out of.
531 Strength does not request location, microphone, camera, contacts, photo library, or motion sensors. Platform integrations are:
- Haptic feedback (vibration) — for set-completion and rest-timer cues.
- Local notifications — optionally requested to alert you when a rest period ends, so you can leave the app open in the background. No remote notifications are sent; everything is scheduled locally on-device and never leaves the device.
531 Strength is not directed at children under 13. The app does not collect personal information from any user, including children.
If the data model changes in a way that introduces external network
calls or third-party data sharing, this document will be updated and
the version date at the top bumped. Material changes (anything beyond
typo fixes) will also be called out in CHANGELOG.md.
For questions about this policy, file an issue on the project repository or reach the maintainer at the address listed in the App Store / Play Store listing.
