mex-tool not working with Akaneia build 1.0

I have an issue with mex-tool. When I tried to open Akaneia 1.0.0 with it, I got an error window saying "object reference not set to an instance of an object:"

I'm not sure what this window means because I don't understand object references or instances, and clicking "Continue" doesn't open the ISO either. Reading the issue log, I think someone else has the same problem as me, but their window was in a different language from mine.

I encountered the same issue too. Opening Akaneia 1.0.1 also throws in an error.
