If it were possible, could you please put a license like the MIT License on this project so it can be used as an example for other open-source projects?

I'm actually thinking about making my own X11-based window manager for a project I'm working on, and it's not exactly legally possible to modify a non-licensed project even with the source or use it as an example. Thank you.
