Metadata for connections and items

Each connection should be able to have additional fields. Each item should be able to have additional fields

I would start simple with just having a notes field.

This is not for display on the DSM graph at all.

We could then construct reports that are based on items or connections with filters selecting them based off any of their fields (group, weight, name, text search of Notes field, etc.). The reports would be tabular format. For example you want a report that shows all the Electrical Interface Connections in a DSM.
