I’d love to build a Snake & Ladder game with a classic retro twist for the project! Please consider assigning this to me
Description:
I want to create a 2–4 player turn-based Snake & Ladder game using pure frontend (HTML/CSS/JS or React) with modern animations and clean retro visuals. The twist is to make it feel both nostalgic and dynamic by introducing optional enhancements like:

Animated dice roll

Snake/ladder movement animations

Optional power-up cards (e.g., shield, double dice, trap others)

Turn-based multiplayer logic

Game state management for progress tracking

Responsive design for both desktop & mobile
Features I Plan to Add:
Classic 10x10 board with numbered tiles

Dice roll (random + animation)

Smooth token movement

Snakes pull players down; ladders lift them up

Player turn system (2–4 players)

Visual retro theme (pixel-style or minimal clean)

Optional card-based bonus twist (e.g., undo fall, roll again)

Tech Stack:

HTML / CSS / JavaScript

State Handling: Pure JS

Use Nextjs, Typescript and pure css. There is no deadline, as soon as possible you can complete this.

If you have time, could you please make the website responsive for tablet and mobile devices on urgent basis ? The layout looks fine on laptops, but the responsiveness on smaller screens needs improvement.

I would like to contribute a new game to this repository titled Simon Says, which is a memory-based sequence game that aligns with the objective of developing classic games aimed at enhancing cognitive abilities.

Game Description:

Simon Says is a pattern recognition and memory challenge. The user is shown a sequence of colored button flashes, which they are required to replicate in the same order. With each successful round, the length of the sequence increases, making the game progressively more challenging. The game concludes once the user inputs an incorrect sequence.

Cognitive Relevance:

-> Short-term memory
-> Focus and attention
-> Pattern recognition and sequential processing

Technical Plan:
-> I plan to develop this game using:
-> Next.js (React) for the frontend structure
