I have a contact map. 3 autosomes are clearly mapped as chr1 and chr2. but the x chromosome is divided into x1 and x2. I found repetitive elements and rDNA on the x2. How to merge this two x1 and x2 into on x chromosome.? what reasons could be behing this diviation into two separete x chromosomes?
