Roadmap

Where AgentPrism Workflows is headed. This is the index: each item links to a detailed design document in docs/roadmap/ that lays out the envisioned feature, the open questions, and the sequencing. Direction, not commitment — items can be reordered, reshaped, or dropped as the ecosystem (especially the Agent Client Protocol) evolves. Feedback and discussion via issues are welcome.

Shipped work is not tracked here — see the CHANGELOG and docs/design-notes.md for what already exists.

Status legend

Status Meaning
implementing Contract frozen; staged implementation is landing
implemented-by-this-contract The linked frozen contract is implemented; retained here for design provenance until release notes replace the row
next Actively being scoped; expected to be the next major work
designed Design settled and recorded; awaiting build slot
exploring Direction chosen; design still open
watching Blocked on / tracking an external dependency

Items

Item Status One-liner
Run events: typed contract & durable event log implementing Frozen contract: typed RunEvent payloads, direct ACP call correlation, and a generation-pinned append-only tail are landing in staged PRs
Content-addressed incremental resume implemented-by-this-contract Identity-v1 mainline resume now reuses uniquely matched safety-proved calls, with terminal-environment admission and fail-to-live fallback
Remote execution & the runner gateway next Drive ACP agents over WebSocket instead of stdio subprocesses; a runner gateway that exposes any ACP agent server remotely
Evals (agentprism-evals) next Substitution-testing substrate shipped (isolation runner, call manifest, per-call usage — workflow-engine 0.20.0); next: the evals harness itself — scoring, repetition, vitest-evals integration, report UX
Workspace model designed Any folder is a workspace; snapshot via namespaced refs without polluting existing repos; workflows associated, never checked in uninvited
MCP validate action exploring Expose the validator (parse, mock dry run, config-options probe) through the MCP workflow tool for hosts that only speak MCP
VS Code extension channel exploring A satellite editor surface layered on the MCP server, not a parallel implementation
ACP v2 readiness watching Side-by-side v1/v2 support once the v2 draft stabilizes and SDK codegen ships; upstream RFD watch list
