Feature: Porting Excalidraw Drawings from Obsidian

Hey guys!
Been a neovim user now for a couple of years, and I believe this is a really cool project and have been really impressed on how it is turning out.

One of my great usages for Obsidian is currently the drawings using the Excalidraw Plugin, and I did see the added support for ZenNotes with the Release v2.4.0.

However, since I already have many drawings in my Obsidian, when I open them up in ZenNotes I get the text-like view of it.

It would be great if I could open all the drawings I already have in my vault (even if only in RO mode) or even just having a port of the drawings into the internal format.

Fixed for the upcoming v2.8.0 🎉

ZenNotes now recognizes Obsidian Excalidraw drawings (*.excalidraw.md, or a .md carrying the excalidraw-plugin frontmatter). When you open one, you'll get a "Convert to ZenNotes drawing" prompt that imports it into a native .excalidraw file — which opens in the full drawing editor, fully editable.

• Supports both Obsidian formats: the older plain json drawings and the newer LZString-compressed compressed-json ones.
• Non-destructive — your original .excalidraw.md is kept untouched, so nothing is lost. (Convert each drawing once and you can delete the originals when you're happy.)

hey, i cant see to figure out how to convert the .excalidraw drawing to the one ZenNotes recognizes. Can you please help me out? i tried opening the file and right clicking the file to see if i get the convert to ZenNotes drawing prompt but i dont see anything
