Follow-up to #6: modifying glyphs + trademark registration

Hi @YuurinBee — thank you for your reply in #6, it's clear and reassuring.

My case matches #6 (using SAIBA-45 in my own commercial designs), with two small
specifics I'd like to confirm:

1. Modifying the glyphs — In my logo I'll slightly modify the letterforms:
   mirror two glyphs horizontally and narrow one a little. Using only the
   outlines (as curves); I won't distribute the font file. Still fine under your
   "use it for your designs" answer?

2. Trademark registration — I'd like to register the resulting logo as a
   trademark. Are you OK with that, since it uses modified SAIBA-45 letterforms?

I'll of course keep your copyright notice intact. A short "yes" would mean a lot

Hey @MaksFluorescent! Yes to both questions. The license covers logo use like yours since you're working with outlines as artwork and not redistributing the font file itself, so no GPL obligations apply there. On the trademark side, the license doesn't restrict that at all, that's fully between you and your trademark office. Good luck with the logo, sounds like a cool project!
