That actually is good to know. Not sure if I'll be able to take advantage of it but I'll definitely look. The token cost are so minimal I haven't really worried about it. I'll run entire books through it but take three or four hours of editing and reviewing. I don't think I've ever had a month where I paid more than like 20 or $30 for Gemini token costs. |

Well i'm on a very fixed income and knowing what i'm spending is paramount. Hence the reason I'm trying to run it on my own LLM and finding ANY solid info on the costs of using Gemini is next to impossible. |

Now this is just a ruff estimate but generating a book/story @ 15 chapters 1 paragraph gets expanded to .DOCX file approximately 80 to 90KB in size and I estimate a book of this size will cost you around $1.00.
I dont know if Google will still have this promotion going when you read this but you can get $100 free credit a month for the first 3 months. I have made 3 books and have used $3.65 of my credit. This also includes testing and a few false starts when my prompt was poor.
A way around this is to run your own LLM, but there are problems with workarounds for that. See my other post:
