Fails to create 32-bit prefix

Doing it from the GUI produces much the same results. It gives a notice about registry info being 64-bit, then complains about the command returning an empty string. This has happened for years across distros, repositories, and Wine versions.

We should probably fail harder in cases where wow64-new is being used with WINEARCH="win32", which indeed can not work.

If you try to create such a prefix via Wine itself, you only get the following, and the prefix is not created:

wine: WINEARCH is set to 'win32' but this is not supported in wow64 mode.

This is included there as a warning, but it is indeed a bit more severe than that. :]

For ye olde 32-bit only prefix, one needs to build Wine with wow64-old (either only 32-bit build of Wine, or 32 and 64 bits both, with host providing 32-bit builds of all of the required dependencies) instead of the new style, where the latter is 32 and 64 bits supported without the need for 32-bit libraries on the host.

My ultimate goal is to run a 16 bit game. I am using Artix. I installed Wine as a package. Is there anything I can do that does not require compiling wine from source? AUR is acceptable.

Wait a minute... I'm sorry, this is a 32-bit game. Specifically Lunicus. It's just meant for Windows 3.

Lunicus runs over scummvm, right? And you use Linux, right? Just install scummvm for Linux and point to the right files. I did that to Iindiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Zork and The Dig.
