Hello together :-)
I am currently evaluating a new SolarEdge installation consisting of:
Before purchasing the system, I would like to confirm whether the NX20K can be monitored and controlled using SolarEdge Modbus Multi.
I understand that standard SunSpec Modbus support does not necessarily mean that the proprietary SolarEdge battery and power-control registers are available.
Has anyone already tested this integration with the NX20K or another inverter from the new Nexis generation?
I am particularly interested in the following functions:
The intended setup is Home Assistant with EMHASS. EMHASS would calculate the battery schedule, while Home Assistant would use the entities provided by SolarEdge Modbus Multi to send the corresponding commands to the inverter.
Are the battery, Storage Control and Site Limit registers known to be available on the NX20K-RW000CYN4? If not yet tested, is there anything specific I should ask SolarEdge or the installer to enable before commissioning?
I have also contacted SolarEdge directly and asked for confirmation and, if available, the relevant Modbus register documentation for the Nexis generation.
If the NX20K is not yet supported but SolarEdge provides the necessary register information, I would be happy to help extend the integration. Once the system is installed, I could provide diagnostics from the actual inverter, test proposed changes and report the results. I would also be willing to work on an extension based on the existing integration, provided the required technical information is available.
Thank you very much for any information or experience with this new inverter generation.
