Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

We are committed to making participation in this project a respectful, harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socioeconomic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

We will act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community.

Expected Behavior

Examples of behavior that supports this community include:

  • showing empathy and respect for different viewpoints and experiences,
  • giving and accepting constructive feedback,
  • taking responsibility for mistakes and learning from them,
  • focusing discussion on what is best for the project and affected operators,
  • protecting student, client, school, and deployment privacy in every project space.

Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior includes:

  • harassment, threats, discriminatory language, or unwanted attention,
  • trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, or personal attacks,
  • publishing another person's private information without explicit permission,
  • sharing student records, credentials, operational details, or other sensitive material in public project spaces,
  • conduct that maintainers reasonably consider inappropriate in a professional public-health collaboration.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies in repository spaces and when an individual is officially representing the project in public or private forums.

Reporting and Enforcement

Report conduct concerns privately to the repository maintainers or WDGPH GitHub organization owners through an organization-approved channel. Do not include student, client, credential, or other sensitive material in a report. If a concern also involves security or privacy, follow SECURITY.md.

Maintainers will review reports promptly, fairly, and as confidentially as practical. They may edit or remove contributions and may temporarily or permanently restrict participation when behavior is inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful. Maintainers who have a conflict of interest in a report should recuse themselves from its review.
