What is your feature request?

It should at least check if the task succeeded and if it failed, re-add it to the pending tasks.
Stretch goals would be a max number of retries and maybe pick if it goes to the top or bottom of the list.

What is the problem we are trying to solve woth this? Wondering if this should be a plugin or core feature.
Are the tasks failing for you for a legitimate reason? Or is this intermittent failures for some other reason?

Good question. It looks like my primary node isn't capable of doing the auto encode. It's running a 1070 and throws this error:
[h264_nvenc @ XXX] 10 bit encode not supported [h264_nvenc @ XXX] Provided device doesn't support required NVENC features [vost#0:0/h264_nvenc @ XXX] Error while opening encoder - maybe incorrect parameters such as bit_rate, rate, width or height.
I'm pretty sure my second node with a 3090 could do it, but not sure how to test it.

There were also some other errors initially when I was messing around with settings and it the host node would stop sending data to the client and the task would fail, but I flushed those logs and they were grabbed on the next scan.

Digging deeper, it appears that NVENC doesn't support 10-bit h264 encode. Is there maybe a way that the transcode plugin could notice that and change the encode to h265 dynamically?
