Cannot install NPM packages. IoMBian does not show up in iombian-configurator. Date issue.

It seems IoMBian has some date synchronization issue. Even being "connected" is not able to download any npm package due to missing local date.
Sometimes synchronising the date with "ntp" and others fixing the date manually we can get over the problem.
On the first solution IoMBian shows up in iombian-configurator, on the second does not.
