  <p>The History and Mathematics in Education Network (HaMiEN) is built by its members. Whether you're a classroom teacher, museum educator, researcher or student; and whether you focus on history, mathematics, or a combination of the two; the network grows through the ideas, questions and experiences that people choose to share.</p>

      <p>Our public email list is the central heartbeat of the network. It is entirely free to join, public, and securely archived online for continuous reference.</p>

<p>The HaMiEN Jiscmail discussion list is the primary meeting place for the History and Mathematics in Education Network, where teachers, museum educators and researchers exchange ideas, announce events, discuss research, and share resources.</p>

        <li>Become part of a growing network of education experts and subject enthusiasts who are all interested in exploring how Mathematics and History can enrich each other in the classroom;</li>

      <h3>How to Take Part</h3>
      <p>Here are just some of the things that we'd love to see being shared via the discussion list:</p>

        <li><strong>Recommend a resource:</strong> Have you read an intriguing paper, delivered a fab classroom activity, watched a video, or read a book that might be of interest to HaMiEN's members? Don't keep it to yourself! If they're really good we'll add them to the <a href="resources.html" >Resources</a> library too.</li>
        <li><strong>Let us know about an event or activity:</strong> Have you spotted a conference, author talk, or other upcoming event? Tell the communiity! We'll add any great ones on the <a href="events.html" >Events</a> calendar if we hear about them in time.</li>
        <li><strong>Share your experiences:</strong> Have you been to an event, used a resource, read a book, stumbled upon an opportunity to explore maths at a museum (etc)? Reviews and musings on network-relevant topics are always welcome.</li>
		<li><strong>Ask a question:</strong> Are you looking for inspiration or feedback, or do you have an idea that you'd like to collaborate on? That's exactly what the HaMiEN is for.</li>
      </ul>
      <p style="font-size: 0.95rem; margin-top: 20px;">Anything HaMiEN-relevant can be shared via the Jiscmail list, but do remember that anything you post could be found by anyone with an internet connection, whether they're a member of the network or not.</p>

		  <p>Help us build the network, and promote History + Maths chat at the same time:</p>

        <li><strong>Post network-relevant things via your socials:</strong> Spotted some historical maths (or mathematical history) out in the wild? Take a photo and share it with your followers!</li>
        <li><strong>Use relevant hashtags:</strong> Posting about History <i>and</i> Maths? Include <i>#History</i> and <i>#Maths</i>!</i>. Was it in a museum? Add <i>#MathsInMuseums</i> too!</li>
        <li><strong>Share resources:</strong> Found something great in our <a href="resources.html">resource bank</a>? Share it with your followers, and let them know where you found it.</li>
		<li><strong>Mention the HaMiEN:</strong> Tell people that the HaMiEN exists, point them towards <a href="https://historyand.mathsy.space">historyand.mathsy.space</a>, and include <i>#HaMiEN</i> whenever you post something that other members might be interested in.</li>

  <p>Members regularly share lesson ideas, academic papers, museum activities, book recommendations, conference news and examples of effective interdisciplinary practice.
