[Feature request] SIMKL Support as an Alternative Sync Provider

PlexTraktSync already provides excellent synchronization between Plex and Trakt.

Noticed, that there was already discussion thread related to this similar topic, but I think it wasn't active: #2181

Would you consider adding optional SIMKL support as an additional synchronization provider?

Potential use cases:

• Sync watched history between Plex and SIMKL
• Sync watchlists, scrobbling
• Sync ratings
• Sync TV episode progress
• Support users who use SIMKL instead of Trakt

This could allow users to choose their preferred tracking service while keeping the existing synchronization workflow.

I think, that requires Plex Pass...

(Plex Pass currently being $249, and in future $749.99)

• Without needing a PlexPass
• 2 way sync
• Rating sync

Ah, fair. There is an "alternative" option mentioned on that page but it requires an additional server app.

My "tray" add-on app for PlexTraktSync doesn't do Simkl also since I just rely on the Plex Pass functionality (I'm experimenting with Serializd for TV)- luckily I got in back when lifetime pass was $100 or something vaguely reasonable. Seems like something that could be added since Simkl has an API as you pointed out.

When there was like a $70 black friday sale for Plex.. I tried purchasing, but they only took VISA or paypal... and I had neither.. sadly didnt grab that lifetime offer.

It doesn't now. I can look into adding that over the next week in an experimental branch (the original purpose of the tray was just to make plextraktsync a bit more user-friendly for dummies like me so it's expanding a bit beyond that, but that's ok).

@Azmarine13 Experimental branch is ready: https://github.com/Snorfle/plextraktsync-tray/tree/experimental/simkl-target It's hard for me to test because I have Simkl + Plex already hooked up so it may not work 100% correctly.

Appears that PlexTraktSync is dead now also, as you'd need to be a VIP to use API, and would then have no need for it. They have really enshittified that site beyond belief.
