Iam trying to build the library with cmake buuuut i can't ! There are multiple problems but i'm trying to solve this specific issue : Could NOT find SDL2 (missing: image mixer net ttf)

I tried to edit the FindSDL2.cmake but i am really struggling to understand the basic of the language. Please help me !

I got this error on my laptop too.

I really love Lua and I would love to make some GUI programs with my laptop, since it doesn't have the OpenGL versions needed for Love2D, and raylib doesn't work.

Okay, doing some work I found that the CMake detector is hot garbage and that you basically need to specify everything you need. This worked for me.

cmake -G "MSYS Makefiles" -DSDL2_LIBRARY=/usr/lib/libSDL2.a -DSDL2_INCLUDE_DIR=/usr/include/SDL2 -DLua_INCLUDE_DIR=/usr/local/include -DLua_LIBRARY=/usr/local/lib ..

You can remove the -G "MSYS Makefiles" if you're not on MSYS2, but I need it for my laptop bc it doesn't run Linux well.

But none of this matters since it still fails.

CMake was made to replace GNU autotools, right? Every project using autotools or even just plain Makefiles (eg. Lua) has worked for me like a charm. CMake is always a giant hassle I always have to deal with when I want to actually do stuff with Lua.

To get around that error, just go into the root of the repository and run touch README. After that it should be fine.
