Support for Microsoft Windows

Is it possible to have a Windows build utilizing tools like MSYS2?

I have no windows machine available to me, so I cannot do it. This project originally had a windows build but it was disabled when the build system was moved to cmake. If there are any windows developers out there that want to get a windows build working in some form, it might not be that much trouble. But I cannot do it currently.
