RICOCHET/CoD Access Denied

Whenever I try to set cod to a certain core I get this message
ERROR: Could not apply CPU Set to 'cod.exe": Access is denied.
I’ve done everything in bios disabled game mode it’s the only game it does this using a 9950x3d

Yeah unfortunately CoD's anti-cheat is stricter than most others and doesn't just block Affinities, but also CPU Sets. There sadly is nothing that can be done about it.
I really wish it was different, but you'll have to resort to either enabling Game Mode (to get the freq cores to park), or using something else like Process Lasso to set an Affinity to the game launcher, which the game will then inherit from the launcher.

Good to know that I'm not the only one that encounters this same exact issue as well. Funny thing is, even when using process lasso i get the same "access denied" message. Oh COD, one more reason to dislike the game...

Thanks I found a workaround uninstalling chipset drivers with revo and reinstalling let me set as a game in game bar and now core parking is working

As a workaround, you can try to set affinity for parent process that launches game. For example, Steam. But since Steam is a bunch of processes, i was able to set affinity for Explorer, then run Steam, then run anticheat-protected game (space marine 2 in my case). Affinity is inherited and unless anticheat specifically does not reset it (which i see no reason to), this should work for CoD too.
