Not every Stackoverflow answer is correct. Participants are humans and we made mistakes from time to time as well...

It is best one select the best answer that addresses the root cause, better if one explains the problem deep down. An interesting post I encountered today where the answer could be misleading the OP to mask his greater problem.

OP is trying to broadcast a message to all connected users in a room but instead he accepted an answer which suggest him to broadcast to everyone connected to the default namespace. Of course he is seeing the answer because everyone else is seeing it!!!
