Recipient List with special query only shows 100 entries

When I create a special query for the recipient list, the overview only indicates that 100 entries are in the list.

This is because there's a limit 100 added at the end of the special query.

Will the newsletter be sent to all found entries, or will it stop after 100?

An how would I tell DM to use all recpients found (a.k.a. remove the limit)?

I have recipient lists with well over 50'000 entries - they all should receive the newsletter.

I realized that creating a special query with a custom table didn't work in this version of DM.

I made the following changes:

The allowed tables in Classes/Module/DmQueryGenerator.php were hardcoded to fe_user and tt_address. The defined custom table from the settings never showed up in the select-field.
To make it appear change

Classes/Module/RecipientListController.php

line 667 change from

    [$html, $query] = $queryGenerator->queryMakerDM();

to

   [$html, $query] = $queryGenerator->queryMakerDM($this->allowedTables);

Classes/Module/DMQueryGenerator.php

line 80 change from

    public function queryMakerDM()

to

    public function queryMakerDM($allowedTables = null)

And add this at the beginning of the method:

    if ($allowedTables) {
        $this->allowedTables = $allowedTables;
    }

Classes/Module/RecipientListController.php

When the custom table was selected in the select-field, it wasn't stored in the database.

Add the following on line 595 (protected function updateSpecialQuery($mailGroup):

if (isset($queryGeneratorConfig['queryTable'])) {
    $queryTable = $queryGeneratorConfig['queryTable'];
}

Now we need to tell the query selector to NOT make a 100 entries limit when querying the database for the recipient's list (it's ok if it does this for the preview table under the query - this needs pagination, but that's for another time)

Classes/Module/DMQueryGenerator.php

add this on line 137:

    $this->settings['queryLimit'] = 'no';

This needs to be some string, just empty still causes the makeSelectorTable to add the LIMIT 100 and we won't get the entire list of recipients.

With these changes, the correct number of recipients is shown in all views and the mails get sent to all recipients defined in the special query.

I attached the changed files to this post, hoping you'd add my changes in the next release.

• Add two new columns (sys_dmail_group.queryLimit, sys_dmail_group.queryLimitDisabled)
• Select 'Do not use a limit when sending' (checkbox) in the group (Special query)
