unable to update to version 1.2 ( disabled)

version 1.1.6.4 and 1.1.7 works fine, but when update to 1.2 the plugin becomes disabled.
if i manually enable the plugin in the plugin manager, after the octoprint reboot becomes disabled again.
if i downgrade to any previous version the plugin works again.
i have tried deleting the pluging and data before install 1.2, updating from the plugin manager, installing from url , but nothing works.

octoprint.version: 1.6.1

tried also updating octoprint to 1.7.3 (didn't try 1.8 because some plugings are not working with phyton 3

looks like plugin version 1.2 only works on octoprint 1.8
i upgrated to 1.8 and now the plugin is enabled
