What problem does this solve?
In real life, taxes aren't applied at each transaction for most farm businesses. Income, expenses, deductions, etc all happen annually and are summarized. For this reason, in December most farms will look into this and evaluate their annual income to decide whether to spend more money or not before the calendar year end. By doing this, they can minimize their tax bill.
Proposed Solution
Track transactions still, income, expenses, etc. But, apply taxes in March for the previous calendar's expenses (Jan-Dec). As a bonus feature, at the start of December, have a popup or form to evaluate possible tax owed based on income. Can make suggestions on spending $X to reduce tax exposure if done in the month of December.
If there is an ingame menu for tax breakdown, that would suffice instead of the popup.
