Adding spatially resolved CO2 removal by biochar #2141

Description

@martavp

Same argument as in: #2140

Biochar = converting biogenic carbon into a solid form of carbon via pyrolysis, which can be added to soils and remain stable for hundreds of years

Electricity and biomass inputs, as well as heat output, to capture 1 ton CO2, are already included in the technology-data repository.
PyPSA/technology-data#258

Potential removal in every region can be estimated assuming that 20% of the arable land is used ( CLC categories: non-irrigated arable land, permanently irrigated arable land, and rice fields), and assuming an application rate of 15 t_biochar/ha and a sequestration rate 70%

We have estimated the total removal potential of biochar in Europe as 30 MtCO2/a.

More details: https://arxiv.org/abs/2603.25663

Biochar can be modelled as a link that consumes solid biomass and electricity, removes CO2 and, optionally, produces heat.

This is a description, and a PR will follow.
