Tldr of my last 4 months; I couldn't figure out why the mod rain particles kept disappearing, and finally figured out that it was because of the particle maximum limit set in this modpack. I have also seen multiple other people having the same issue or having similar issues that were never solved.
So my suggestion is this; Somewhere in the mod description or in the bug reports page (wherever will be visible to most people):
Tell users to raise the particle limit in the mod settings to be above 4000, in order for them to test if the mod is actually bugged or just overloaded by other particles (usually from other mods), before making a bug report.
Having many mods in your game will make this an issue, and makes any other form of debugging ineffective (if the issue does turn out to be the particle limit).
If I had known to do that I would have saved those 4 months of troubleshooting my 300+ mods modpack, not that I am blaming anyone but myself on that part lmao.
