Rain Particles are campfire smoke

Issue description: Rain Particles are campfire smoke
I believe the server started out with ripples being fine, then I noticed nothign was being displayed. I went through the in game config to fix it, changed nothing and now it's campfire smoke particles.

When I go to the Appearance for the rain ripples, everything is default. I've toggled "use resource pack resolution" on and off. Hovering over it shows "Use the resolution of the campfire smoke particle"

So I guess that's more accurate than saying that the particle is the campfire smoke.

Okay, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the mod and it "fixed it"

Meaning I no longer get the smoke particles, but now I am back to no ripples
