insert backticks for code blocks in markdown file lead to stuck snippet

In version V1.5.0 when in want to insert a "`" or "```" for a code-block in a markdown snippet
leads the snippet app to stuck and react mysteriously

I am facing the same issue but instead of hanging the clipboard gets pasted in place. I am using an Apple M2 MacBook Pro it is infuriating.
