Describe the feature
It would be valuable if Pegaprox supported creating and managing EVPN vNets across multiple Proxmox clusters, similar to the functionality available in Proxmox Datacenter Manager (PDM) when the clusters share the same BGP ASN.
Compared to PDM, Pegaprox could go a step further by providing full lifecycle management of these networks. For example:
- Create EVPN vNets across multiple clusters
- Edit existing EVPN vNets
- Delete EVPN vNets
- Assign aliases or friendly names to EVPN vNets
Currently, PDM only allows the creation of EVPN vNets and lacks management features such as deleting networks or assigning aliases.
Use case
This is particularly useful for larger multi-cluster datacenter environments where customer or tenant networks span multiple Proxmox clusters.
Having centralized management of EVPN vNets simplifies provisioning, reduces administrative overhead, and ensures consistent network configuration across the entire infrastructure.
Alternatives considered
None.
How important is this for you?
This would significantly improve our administrative workflow for creating and managing customer networks in a multi-cluster datacenter environment. It would also provide a more complete management experience than the current implementation in Proxmox Datacenter Manager.
