On the issue of defining scv and spv in the sourcesVol function

Hello, I came across the fact that I do not understand why in the example2_conduct example inside the sourcesVol function, volumetric heat sources are defined not as s * vol (as it was in the first example), but as a series (scv = a + 2 * b * t3, spv = -3 * b * t2). Can you explain why when using the first formula (s * vol), the temperature value is overestimated.

Hi @Aboba-gif . When adding volumetric source terms, always make sure that they are multiplied by the volume (vol) after the function's return. In the case of example1_conduct, the multiplication is performed before the return:

@jit
def sourcesVol(c, vol, phi, xc, yc, timer):
scv = 5 * vol
spv = 0
return scv, spv

But it could also be done this way:

@jit
def sourcesVol(c, vol, phi, xc, yc, timer):
scv = 5
spv = 0
return scv * vol, spv * vol

Both ways are correct. In the case of example2_conduct, it was done in the second way I just showed.
