Set-Up guide says there's meant to be a place to insert Cookies from Spotify, but there is none? + Invalid Client error

I had the same issue. GPT told me to look in the lyrics status folder where there is "settings.json" with the "cookies":"(enter the token here)". I still havent figured out how to get it to see the music I am listening so I dont know if this works

Okay, I looked into it a bit more and seems that the cookies method is a bit older and now the project uses the spotify Client ID and the Client secret from the Spotify apps which you can find here: Here . Right now it says that app creation is down (for some reason). I hope this helped.

youre able to use other peoples spotify app, if you add me on discord im more than happy to give you the client id etc. however ill need your spotify email to add you to the app as a dev. up to you, my discord user is ackermandick, so just let me know.

Last I checked the Spotify app creation was down. Now that it is back on, it doesn't allow making apps with web API (unless you have spotify premium). I got it working for 5 seconds until the script couldn't communicate with the app (since spotify blocked it).

Hey all! I got a functional copy of lyrics-status updated by me over at https://github.com/RamenFighter03/lyrics-status/tree/v3

All you need is the credentials just like the original software and you're in. This one has support for more sources, merging of lines for less sends ect.
