Hey everyone,
I was quite excited about this project when I've first heard about it.
However, I just logged in and clicked around in the "app" - I'm not sure if stuff is working, it still says Alpha and it feels like that's accurate. Allow me to report some issues:
I can't download the bylaws.
I can't download the 1023 form.
I can't download the Articles of Incorporation.
The test data that's there doesn't inspire confidence ("Another Foundation", "One More Foundation").
I can only select DE as the state, so I guess Delaware is the only option?
I am forced to check the optional "I want the IRS to select the NTEE Code" checkbox.
I am forced to explain limitations even though I selected "No" and thus the text should be optional.
Same for "Related Individuals", "Political Support", and all the other "Yes/No/Explain" pages.
All text boxes are mandatory, always. Even the optional ones.
I didn't know how many pages are still left in the "wizard", so I eventually gave up on the "Non-Fixed Payment Compensation" page.
It seems like all the "wizard" is doing is filling out an official PDF form?
Wouldn't it be easier to just download the PDF form and go through it without this "wizard"?
What I assumed the FFK would provide is helpful guidance in regards to how to start a foundation, and/or "presets" that would apply to most open-source projects (i.e. documents and partly filled forms that people could (re-)use).
I tried to find answers, but the blog is abandoned, or so it seems.
Out of the nine milestones only one was done, so it seems that the project was abandoned halfway through Stage 1?
So, I'm wondering... what's the status of this project?
