Legacy Omni Layer USDT – No Clear Migration Path for Small Holders After Tether Sunset

Hello Omni Layer / Omniwallet maintainers,

I am reaching out regarding a serious issue affecting remaining users holding USD₮ on the Omni Layer network following the Tether support sunset.

As of September 1, 2025, Tether officially discontinued redemption and swap support for Omni Layer USD₮. I have attempted to contact Tether support directly regarding my situation.

Their response confirmed that:

Redemption and swap for Omni Layer USD₮ have been discontinued
Only requests exceeding USD 1,000,000 may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
All smaller balances are no longer eligible for redemption or assistance

For individual holders like myself, this effectively means there is no accessible redemption or migration path available, despite holding legitimate self-custodied Omni Layer USD₮.

My situation:
Network: Omni Layer (Bitcoin-based USD₮)
Balance: ~80,000 USD₮
Custody: Self-custodied wallet (private keys fully controlled)
Issue: No exchange support, no Tether redemption, no clear migration route
My concern:

While I understand that Tether has ended official support for Omni Layer USD₮, there appears to be no remaining practical ecosystem guidance for individual holders who were unable to migrate before the deadline.

This leaves users with valid on-chain assets but no realistic path to:

migrate to supported chains (ERC20 / TRC20)
access liquidity
or redeem through any official or semi-official mechanism
My request:

Could the Omni Layer / Omniwallet community please clarify:

Whether any remaining migration tools or community-supported bridges exist for Omni USD₮
Whether there are any known OTC liquidity providers or ecosystem participants still handling Omni USD₮ conversions
Whether Omniwallet has any recommendations for safely handling legacy Omni USD₮ assets
Whether there are any plans or discussions within the ecosystem regarding legacy asset recovery or migration support

I fully understand that Tether has phased out support. However, I am trying to understand whether any remaining technical or community-driven solutions exist for users holding legacy Omni USD₮.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

When was it issued in 2026? What do you mean it can still be processed and sold?
