The National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) serves as the dominant intermediary for U.S. postsecondary verification, covering approximately 97% of enrollments. While useful, the system still relies on per-verification fees, administrative friction, forms, and portals.
NeoTranscript delivers a complete student-owned alternative using public-key cryptography and W3C Verifiable Credentials (VCs). Precise Fidelity Unlike the National Student Clearinghouse, which primarily provides high-level degree confirmation (without full course grades or GPA), NeoTranscript is designed to retain the complete, precise information found on official school transcripts. This includes course codes, titles, credits, individual grades, cumulative GPA, honors, and more. The goal is to deliver a verifiable credential that is at least as detailed as — and often richer than — traditional paper or PDF transcripts.
