What do you want to work on?

I'm working on enabling a path for openshell to be used in enterprise deployments - where a policy can be sources from an attested and governed source. This is the issue capturing the requirement and use-case: #1713

Why this change?

This feature is helpful for anyone who wants to provide a policy from a central authoritative source. Examples:

• In an enterprise setting - a governance team may own the responsibility of authoring the policy as seen fit for the enterprise, and use of these policies or the drift there-off should be auditable.
• A policy management system already exists that can provide per user/role based policies for agentic use.

For these cases to be supported, openshell should have the mechanisms to provide an integration path to such systems where the policy is not baked-in or can mutate/evolve. Teasing this layer apart and providing an interface for third-party policy providers to integrate lets openshell stay neutral about the implementation details of the policy authority.
