How to get CSS format changes to apply to github.io presentation?

The case-studies presentation on the github.io site (left in screenshot below) doesn't include some of the formatting that I attempted to apply to the extra_css section (via e17f4e6) in order to make the links blue and the font smaller. This works for my local version (right in screenshot). Is there a way to get the formatting to appear in the github.io version? I should note that my CSS edits were suggested by copilot, so maybe there's a better way to make those changes.

I agree @iantaylor-NOAA it is hard to know what to commit when it comes to the xarnigan files. As a quick fix to the links, I use

.hyperlink-style[[What I want people to see](https://www.thelink.com)]

to make it blue and I add the formatting for .hyperlink-style to the css

I got the github.io version of the case-studies presentation to show blue hyperlinks by wrapping .hyperlink-style[...] but didn't yet sort out font-size changes so will leave this issue open until I do.
