Code of conduct

Our standard

We want a precise, welcoming, and scientifically honest project. Participants are expected to:

  • discuss ideas and evidence without attacking people
  • respect different backgrounds, experience levels, and communication styles
  • accept correction and acknowledge uncertainty
  • give credit for code, data, methods, and review
  • protect private research data and embargoed results
  • keep criticism specific, actionable, and relevant

Harassment, discrimination, threats, deliberate misrepresentation, unwanted sexual attention, publishing private information, and sustained disruption are not acceptable.

Scope

This standard applies in repository discussions, reviews, project spaces, and public events where someone represents PQViewer.

Enforcement

Maintainers may edit or remove contributions and may temporarily or permanently restrict participation when behavior is unsafe or persistently disruptive. Decisions should consider context, impact, prior warnings, and the safety of affected people.

Report conduct concerns through Security → Report a vulnerability in the repository and begin the summary with Conduct report. This provides one monitored private channel without exposing the report in an issue. Reports will be handled with discretion; conflicts of interest should be disclosed and routed to another maintainer when possible.
