I’d like to thank you for the excellent WebOS app! I own an LG OLED C4, and now I can finally watch Dolby Vision content without having to use the system's native player. The official Jellyfin app even handles remuxing for DV Profile 8. It’s also great to be able to watch DV Profile 7 again (in HDR), given that WebOS 25 no longer falls back to HDR and just throws an error instead.
The app's customization options are amazing; I love the true black (OLED) theme and the resolution tags! Not to mention the playback settings, which really help avoid transcoding. Plus, everything runs so fast!

Moaz and myself lost hours and hours, lots of sweat and frustration, to fix the DV playback of MKV on WebOS.
What JellyFin server broke from 10.10.7, and still has not fixed in 10.11.11, and with the native client 1.2.2 that was not updated for WebOS for years, Moaz did with LiteFin.

Every DV profile triggers, even the old 7.x and 5.x profiles, and the new one 8.x profiles as well.

The HDR10 and HDR10+ trigger as well and fall back to HDR, as they should, because HDR10+ is Samsung Tizen exclusive, and always have to fall back to HDR on LG WebOS.
(not exclusive, some TVs like Panasonic and Sony support all HDR standards, but Samsung does not want to pay Dolby, and LG does not want to pay Samsung)

Imagine, there is a universe where LiteFin does not exist...

WebOS was not part of my initial idea for Litefin lol, looking at it now WebOS downloads are 10x the Tizen ones, but i guess that's because of homebrew.

Thats true - WebOS HomeBrew started on Palm, then HP, and continued on LG true the Developer Mode, later using exploits with root.
Tizen Brew started at the end of 2023, early 2024, so it is at the begining, maybe even the end if Samsung chooses to switch to another OS like GoogleTV/AndroidTV, or even something like VidaaOS.

i don't think so ? i think it does the same job as jellyfin2samsung (apps2samsung now), i don't think it works like the webos homebrew but i could be mistaken.

There is one simple difference - TizenBrew can be installed on TV, and the repo can be browsed on the TV.
