Updating Tailscale loses auth

It seems the configuration is lost when upgrading tailscale and it needs to be re-authenticated, and will show up as a new machine (by installing the app over the existing version). Is there any way to circumvent this? We would lose access to any cameras remotely when upgrading which means we can't upgrade unless we're on site.

This is now fixed from version 1.92.3.
It was an oversight on my part, so sorry about that.
The state file is now saved in localdata, which persists during updates.
Unfortunately, you will need to update to this version and lose connection, but from now on, updates should not be an issue.

Oh, you mean that the issue is because of the existing installed version, not the version about to be installed.
