RUSTSEC-2025-0057 fxhash - no longer maintained

A new advisory about fxhash no longer being maintained was raised recently - https://rustsec.org/advisories/RUSTSEC-2025-0057

Is there any interest in migrating to rustc-hash as proposed by the advisory? Or taking ownership of fxhash?

Thanks for raising this. I will investigate alternatives and keep you updated :)

Note: this is not a super trivial switch as the hashing is used for embedding; changing the hash algorithm would be a major breaking change as new embeddings would no longer be compatible with old ones.
