Great job! It would be very interesting to create a version of this core compatible with LCD screen. This way, we could design and 3D print a custom enclosure that recreates a miniature classic Mac.

The Mac has a rather odd resolution of 512 by 384 pixels. What LCD do you have in mind for this?

I really like the idea of the small 3d printed mac classic. Do you have one of those 5-inch 800x480 LCDs that are sold with/for the Tang Nanos? You could run the Atari ST core and simply draw a rectangle of 512x384 pixels. That would give you an impression, what part of the screen would be in active use and how much border your case would have to cover.

If this turns out to work satisfyingly, then I'll sure be able to make an LCD compatible core.

Not possible is to a) rotate the screen or b) change the Macs resolution. These things are possible with emulators. But since this is actual hardware, these things would require massive changes which probably aren't worth the effort.

It would be fantastic if you could make the LCD version. I’m going to buy a screen for the Tang Nano 20K and try the test you suggest. I don’t think image rotation will be a problem; as you said, we would just need to adapt the frame in the 3D design. Thank you very much for your interest and your excellent work. I’ve been a fan of classic Macs since the 1980s.
