This is a bit awkward when the queries get long.
My preference is to have these always be in fenced code blocks, because this is generally the easiest way to convey that they're separate from the generated response.
Also, people usually just type plain ASCII / UTF-8, and this is the 'source' for the response, so it makes sense to have it formatted like raw source code by default.
