Is there a chance of this project getting an official port for BSD operating systems (like FreeBSD or hopefully DFlyBSD)?
I am aware that's it's quite a demanding request but please, please consider it.

Why is this useful?

It would allow BSD operating systems users to enjoy having cute girls on their desktop

Regarding your request for BSD support: I would like to clarify that this project is developed using the Unity engine, which does not provide native support for BSD operating systems.

Unity’s platform support is primarily focused on Windows, macOS, Linux (specifically mainstream distributions like Ubuntu), and major mobile/console platforms. Since BSD is not within Unity’s officially supported environment, we are unable to ensure stability or performance on that system. Developing for an unsupported platform would introduce significant technical risks and maintenance challenges.

Also, it's not quite likely for MateEngine to have an official BSD port since the original MateEngine developer already claimed that they won't provide official Linux port of MateEngine, because it's "unfeasible". You could only expect an unofficial one.

And for now you could try running MateEngine on BSD systems using a compatibility layer called Linuxnulator.

This issue would remain open until someone comes along who knows Unity3D well and is passionate about maintaining a BSD port.
