Can't Pick up Items or Break blocks.

Describe the Bug

Something is seriously wrong with my world. I can't pick up items, and if I try to break something, it instantly 'lags' back to not being broken.

Someone else in the discord pointed out that it could be some internal server failing and causing functions to freeze.

Reproduction Steps

It started when I was making a new steam engine, and I placed a pump on the tank, it kicked me out as if it was a server, and when I got back on, this issue has happened.

1. Place 2x2 Blaze Burners down.
2. Put 2x2x2 Fluid Tank on top
3. From a 3x2 water source, place copper pipes like this:

[P][~] | Blaze

4. Destroy the waterlogged pipe and then place a Pump like so:

P | Tank
[][] | Blaze

When the pump is placed, the world lagged for a moment before kicking me off of the server as if this was a multiplayer server, and when exiting this Singleplayer world, I ended up at the multiplayer server select screen. This indicates the shutdown happening.
